Revolutionary Mercy: A Divine Movement of the Oppressed
I had the privilege of sharing about mercy yesterday at our church New Hope. It was a continuation of a series of talks about the revolutionary ways in which God calls his followers to live. The first week I shared about the revolutionary love that Jesus calls us to embody and last week I talked about the revolutionary hope with which we ought to live life.
This message highlights the radical nature of mercy found in Scripture. Quite honestly, it was one of the most challenging messages I’ve ever had to prepare. I’m deeply challenged by the kind of life that Jesus calls his followers to live. I continue to live in this great tension of theology and praxis.
