TEDWomen: A Feminine Response to Financial Crisis
The TED Conference just concluded its TEDWomen Event in Washington DC (Dec. 7-8). They had a phenomenal lineup of speakers and performers. I so wish I could have been there (along with all the other TED events!).
Here’s one of the first videos they’ve released from Halla Tomasdottir who managed to take her company Audur Capital through the eye of the financial storm in Iceland by applying 5 traditionally “feminine” values to financial services. She has been instrumental in rebuilding Iceland’s economy.
This talk is both insightful and challenging. I love the values that drive her approach and her thoughts about “good business” at the end really resonated with me (i.e., similar to the perspective of the Ideation Conference we facilitate).
