ReImagining Workplace Motivation
As a leader, I’m always looking for ways to re-imagine the way I motivate those I work with. Recently, I came across this great presentation on TED.com by Dan Pink regarding new studies about motivation in the workplace. Traditionally, people in companies have been motivated by financial gain (and many still are), but Dan makes the claim that it doesn’t necessarily lead to more productivity. This is interesting because companies use things like bonuses to motivate people to produce better work.
Whether you’re leading a company or organization, I think it will be worth your time to check out Dan’s presentation below. Afterwards, please take a moment to share your thoughts. I look forward to hearing from you.
