A New Kind of Conference: Cultivate 2011
There’s a new kind of conference coming out to Southern California this coming May called Cultivate Conference. I’m honored to be presenting at this event alongside of others like Erik Qualman (Author of Socialnomics), Mark Horvath (Founder of InvisiblePeople.tv), Jon Acuff, and many more.
I love this event because it carries a spirit of genuine collaboration and a commitment to move ideas forward. In addition, none of the speakers are getting paid and the proceeds from this event will be given to two great organizations: InvisiblePeople.tv and Center for Church Communications. It has a certain “Idea Camp” ethos about it that thoroughly excites me!
Whether you work for an organization, church, or you’re a creative in communications or new media, you’ll greatly benefit from this gathering.
Here’s a great synopsis of the event from their website:
It is said the collective wisdom of a group is more valuable than the expertise of one. Cultivate is a collective wisdom. It brings ministry and marketplace leaders to the table and asks them to leave their formal presentations at home.
Cultivate is about bringing you together with the skilled, the experienced, and the insightful, and together you will drive the content. Together you will discover breakthrough insights.
Cultivate is about organized conversations, and each conversation will be designed to nurture collaboration without confining the experience to a box. Expect to be stretched. Expect to be challenged. Expect to culivate a new way of thinking.
If you are creative, strategic, and responsible for influencing how your organization communicates, there is a chair waiting for you.
Stay tuned for some great discounts coming your way via my blog & tweets. 🙂
