Life Scribbles: What Would You Do With Unlimited Resources?
I was in a meeting recently where a friend mine shared a story of a person who came up to him and asked, “What would you do if money was not an obstacle to your dream?” In the context of this particular question, the person asking had resources available to him to possibly support my friend’s dream. In other words, it was a little bit more concrete than the way most ask this question to a friend or colleague during a casual conversation.
It got me thinking a little bit more about what I would say given this kind of opportunity. What would I pursue? What dream would take priority over all my other dreams? How quickly would I change my life the chase after it? What would it mean for everything else I currently do in life?
Quite honestly, the larger question is, “Why don’t most pursue their dreams in the first place?” Why do many wait for “the moment” to be asked by some large supporter before pursuing their dreams?
The reality is that we can start even without “the question”. In a day and age of when we have access to information, technology, creative resources, and world-wide networking, I believe it’s possible to pursue our passions. We can live the life that will fill us and give us great satisfaction for life.
Let me ask you…
What would you do with unlimited resources? Better yet, what’s stopping you from walking down this road towards the life you always wanted?
Just a passing thought…
Love to hear your feedback.
Life Scribbles is a blog category I created to jott down quick notes about various topics and personal interests. These notes (including questions) are meant to be short, thought-provoking, relatively open, and purposefully unresolved. I’m hoping that these Life Scribbles will challenge or refine perspectives, create meaningful conversations, and lead to further inquiry about the topics presented.
