Help One Now: Brand & Storytelling To Make An Impact
Guest Post by Chris Marlow, Founder of Help One Now
Many of us care deeply about humanity. Our hearts ache when we see injustice take place. The orphan who has no home. The slave who has no hope. The father who has no job.The woman who has no rights. The community who has no hope. We could go on. And on. And on.
Furthermore, we would all agree that we need to rally our gifts, passions and resources to help serve those who are suffering, and we need to support organizations who are doing amazing work around the world.
But, here is the raw, hard truth – You can’t be a great organization if you don’t have a powerful brand.
Help One Now was struggling with that. We were doing some really good work, but, we knew our brand was off and we could not scale. So we spent the last 6 months working with Ideation to do a full scale rebrand. It was all leading up to this week in which we head back to Haiti with some amazing storytellers.
Why? Because we believe that story can change the world and technology leveraged correctly can be a conduit of long term sustainable impact.
We wanted our brand to be simple, powerful and action-oriented. We desired everyone to be able to hear stories of injustice and then be able to engage the injustice. This helps create the desired change and sustainable solutions to some of the world’s greatest problems.
The Ideation team worked closely with Help One Now to ensure our entire brand, message and initiatives were going to connect with our mission to care for orphans by empowering local leaders and seeing their communities transformed and the cycle of extreme poverty broken.
So far, we have launched Phase One of our website and rebrand. Needless to say, we feel more confident than ever that we can and will accomplish our mission. We are thankful for Charles and the Ideation team for helping us overcome some key obstacles so we can tell a better story and get more people involved in pursuing compassionate justice in our world.
Now, I need YOUR help.
I would like to invite you along our trip to Haiti. You can see how our brand can actually make a difference and create sustainable change in real life.
1) Take a moment and meet the storytellers by clicking here.
2) Follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
3) Help us take these stories to the masses through your social media influences — Twitter, Facebook and your blog the week of the trip. Would love for your to add one of our banners. The code is on our bloggers team page.
