Best Graduation Speeches
Yes, it’s that time of year again…graduation season.
I’ve attended my fair share of graduations over the years and I have to say that I deeply feel for commencement speakers. There’s no doubt that it’s a great honor speak on such an occasion, but it’s often the part of the ceremony that people would like to speed through. Fortunately, there have been some great commencement speeches recorded over the years that have been thoroughly inspiring and/or hilarious. Here are a few of my favorites:

Along with humor and engaging audiences, it’s a challenge to offer a diverse audience a message that will resonate and leave them with gifts for their journey ahead.
Here’s an example of a storied approach to this challenge. A collage of stories is used to offer students three gifts for their journey (judgment, compassion, and mercy).

I loved these… Will Farrell is so funny. I stumbled across Tom Hank’s address at Yale this year on another site. He did a great job too!
