A Case For Collaborative Consumption

Ideation, Networking Comments (3)

In this TEDx talk from Syndey, Australia, Rachel Botsman speaks on the power of collaboration and sharing through network technologies, and on how it will transform business, consumerism and the way we live.

I heard about her earlier this year from a friend and picked up her book, “What’s Mine Is Yours: The Rise of Collaborative Consumption“. I’ve enjoyed her work and was glad to see this posted on TED.

Has anyone offered a “too old for stuff” network provides aging individuals a way to give away the stuff (how many electric blankets does one person need?} collected over years, but is still in excellent condition. but now is seldom used, to young families who may need and use kitchen appliances, garden tools, etc.?
